CCC (Underwater Engineering) S.A.L. is committed to achieving customer satisfaction by providing the best possible Marine, Diving and Remote Operating Vehicle (ROV) services that meet international standards. However, no activity is more important than the identification of hazards and ensuring that practical and effective control measures are in place to protect the Health and Safety of employees and contractors, while ensuring the environment is not adversely affected by our activities. These concerns must always take precedence over all commercial considerations.
 

The specific objectives of CCC (UE) are to:

  • Provide safe and healthy working conditions and environment for all employees.
  • Establish safeguards through the process of risk assessment against all identified hazards.
  • Continuously improve employee skills through a defined training programme, including emergency preparedness related to safety and environmental protection.
  • Develop and implement a Management System conforming to International Standards, Codes and Guidelines such as, ISO, OHSAS, ISM, ISPS and IMCA.

The General Manager, Management and staff of CCC (UE) are committed to continual improvement and will:

On General Aspects

  • Maintain a Management system based on incidents, internal audits, complaints, non-conformances and customer feedback. This will be monitored through the process of periodic Management Review meetings to verify its continuing effectiveness.
  • Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental involvement and commitment of Senior Management in the application and compliance of this Policy. This includes the identification of hazards, the provision of practical and safe working systems, appropriate protective equipment, staff training and instructions and the consultation with staff on safety and health matters.
  • Ensure this Policy will be regularly reviewed and, if necessary, revised in light of legislative or organisational changes.
  • Hold all levels of management, supervision and staff accountable for QHSE issues and ensure this policy is communicated to all employees, understood, implemented and maintained.

On Quality Aspects

  • Ensure all agreed customer specifications are fulfilled to the highest degree of workmanship.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and make CCC (UE) a trademark name associated with Underwater Engineering excellence.

On Health and Safety Aspects

  • Acknowledge the principle that all accidents can be prevented and actively promote among employees the reporting of incidents in order to achieve the highest standards of safety awareness and performance.
  • Seek to avoid harm to health, or injury to employees and others, or damage to property through its operations and those of contractors acting on behalf of CCC (UE).
  • Require all employees, contractors and visitors to be diligent in identifying potential hazards and reporting them to their Supervisor if they are unable, as individuals, to take the appropriate actions to mitigate their possible effects.
  • Ensure contractors working on behalf of CCC (UE) apply acceptable health and safety practices.

On Environmental Aspects

  • Strive to progressively reduce emissions, discharges and wastes.
  • Minimise the impact of our activities on the environment.
  • Ensure contractors working on behalf of CCC (UE) apply acceptable environmental practices.
 

HSE Management System(OHSAS 18001:2007)

The CCC (UE) management system is accredited, by Bureau Veritas, to the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series specification. As a commercial diving contractor, CCC (UE) is a member of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and adhering to the Safe Codes of Practice. CCC (UE) has therefore taken the initiative to integrate their Health and Safety Management System into a totally integrated management system encompassing the Quality and Environmental requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and the ISM Code.

ISO 9001:2008 Series

CCC (UE) management system is accredited to the ISO quality standards since 1998 and has been revised to comply with ISO 9001:2008.

ISM-Code

CCC (UE) management system is accredited, by Bureau Veritas, and in compliance with the requirements of the ISM Code.

The introduction of the ISM-Code has set a requirement for CCC (UE) management to implement an improve Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, based on the principles of Quality Management, which have world-wide acceptance and are applied in all kinds of production and service industries.
